Dragon Ball Super: BROLY, the new Trailer

MOVIE TRAILER #2  AT THE COMIC CON IN NEW YORK!

1. BROLY'S CANONIZATION

FIGURE BROLY ULTIMATE SOLDIER

FIGURE BROLY ULTIMATE SOLDIER

The next Dragon Ball movie - the 20th in the franchise - is called Dragon Ball Super: Broly, announced Toei Animation. The movie will once again feature an ultra-powerful villain, a fans' favorite... the invincible BROLY! Broly is not a new character in the franchise, but his return to the series is significant and surprising: the legendary Super Saiyan has long been one of the most controversial figures in Dragon Ball. Hot, not hot? Fans will soon have their answer.

So far, only brief hints have been given about the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie's content, including how it would canonically introduce Broly's popular character into the series, while exploring the history of the Saiyan race and their relationship with Freezer and King Cold (both of whom terrified King Vegeta).

When King Cold was first introduced to the franchise, he looked more like a joke. Although he was "more powerful" than Freezer, he was defeated with extreme ease by Future Trunks. Viewers will no doubt see this character in a new light after the film.

For the fans' greatest pleasure and 2 months before its official release in Japan, a second (longer) trailer has just been leaked at the Comic Con in New York! We now know that the movie will essentially be based on the story of Saiyan Berserker! Leaving (for once) Goku and Vegeta "aside".

2. GOKU & BROLY: A REWRITTEN CHILDHOOD

It seems that a good part of the film will take place in the past, during the childhood of the famous Legendary Saiyan. The scenes depict the conflict between the threatening Freezer and King Vegeta, while giving a glimpse of the Ginyu force at its peak. Additionally, Dragon Ball Super: Broly could rewrite Goku's exile from Planet Vegeta, a story that has made many jump!

The film shows Bardock and his wife peacefully sending Goku to Earth, far from the destruction caused by the galactic tyrant. It's satisfying to see that the film does what it takes to make his villain feel truly powerful, while allowing fans to learn more about some of the dead characters.

The trailer also shows Broly being sent to another planet in a space capsule, much like Goku, and teaches us that he would have had a parallel education as a Dragon Ball hero. This gives a whole new dimension to this golden and already epic character!

This look into Broly's past will culminate when he meets Goku and Vegeta in the present. The entire staff of the series promises that the fight will be as good as the final battle between Goku and Jiren in the Tournament of Power (Dragon Ball Super).
